Idlewild is an awesome park for kids and at the end of June all 3 kids and I spent the day there with some of their friends. It poured when we first got there for about 15 minutes and then it was beautiful the rest of the day. Amelia was only 14 months old but she was able to ride some of the little cars and boats. Sonja was the tallest of her friends so she was able to go by herself on most rides including the roller coasters. How did they get so big already?????

Children's Museam
I took the kids to the Children's Museam downtown with Sonja and Gavin's really good friends Kate and Brooke. Curious George was the theme and we couldn't get the kids to leave. It is a great place. The kids can play, do crafts, paint, and try all of the experiments.
Deer Lakes Water Park
Deer Lakes opened up a water sprinkler park this year and in June we decided to check it out. It was a hot day and the kids had a great time running through the water. Little Amelia loves the water so she had an awesome time with Sonja and Gavin. This was the alternative to putting in a pool in the community so it was a good choice. We ended the afternoon with a bike ride on the trails.

Camping at Pioneer Park
On June 18 we went up to Pioneer Park near Seven Springs. This is one of the kids favorite campgrounds because they have a pool, mini golf, paddle boats, and a playground. The next day we drove up to Ohiopyle and hiked and played by the water. We ended up eating dinner their and then packing up our campsite and coming home that night because it thunderstormed on our drive back and the entire tent and our campsite was soaked.
Sonja and Gavin Ride Bikes without Training Wheels
Well it is official. A milestone for both of my children. Gavin is only 3 and has been riding his 2 wheeler without training wheels since April of this year. He is so good on his bike that he even hit the off road trails at North Park and Deer Lakes Park. Sonja has been practicing as well and now she also rides her princess bike without training wheels. It is totally cool because now Paul and I ride with them while Amelia tows behind in a trailer on one of our bikes. So cool!!!!
June 2010 - Antoinette and Joel Visit
My sister Antoinette and her fiance Joel came to visit us for the weekend in June and we all had an awesome time. We went to the Cheesecake factory to eat and then went to the HofbrÀuhaus for drinks afterward. The next day we went to Phipps with the whole family and ended the night grilling steaks and roasting marshmallows in our backyard.

Living Treasures Animal Park
We took the kids to the petting zoo in May which is one of their favorite places. It is really cool because you can feel most of the animals and take pony and camel rides so it is very interactive. Amelia loves animals so she thought it was the coolest thing. We ended the day at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts for yummy treats.
